C>Ways establishes itself as a networking company. Subsequent to the merger of Monkwearmouth College and Wearside College, that created the City of Sunderland College, C>Ways successfully completed its first major network infrastructure project.
C>Ways develop and build the world’s first “public realm” IP CCTV solution. The solution fed multiple services to communities in the city of Hull. Operating on a Packeteer core networking infrastructure, with Proxim radio/wireless and Axis camera technologies, C>Ways developed a way to record millions of images per second.
C>Ways assist the city of Hull to win a £14m Safer Community grant. The C>Ways technology strategy team help secure £14m for the city of Hull to develop and widen their safer communities’ strategy, with secured funding from the European Regional Development Fund, the European Union, and from the UK Lottery.
C>Ways win a Government Best Practice Award from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). Due to the work successfully undertaken by C>Ways for the city of Hull between 1998 and 2002, C>Ways were awarded a Business Excellence award by the DTI, which was presented by Lord Falconer on behalf of the Government.
C>Ways commence their (now) long established relationship with Leeds Beckett University (formerly Leeds Metropolitan). C>Ways designed, developed and built a revised network infrastructure for the University. The solution is still supported and maintained by C>Ways, and is widely acknowledged as one of the most stable Extreme platforms in the world; and since 2004 (12 years) there has been zerodown time.
England wins the Ashes at The Oval. The England cricket team secures the Ashes at the Oval, with the world media watching, via a resilient network solution, designed by C>Ways.
C>Ways secures the opportunity to design the network for Spinningfields in Manchester. Spinningfields is Manchester city centre’s luxury dining and shopping destination, covering 430,000 square metres of commercial, residential and retail space. As at 2016, Spinningfields continues to operate with C>Ways’ network design, and during this period (10 years) it has experienced 99.9% uptime.
C>Ways design, develop and build a Business Continuity infrastructure to secure a pension portfolio of £22bn. C>Ways build for RPMI (pension provider for the UK rail industry) a robust business continuity solution to ensure the pension scheme members received an uninterrupted investment and administration service.
C>Ways design a premier IP CCTV solution for Stanley Security at Stansted Airport. As IP Video specialists, C>Ways secures the opportunity to deliver a substantial IP CCTV solution, with network design for the Stanley Security (EMEA).
Kingspan Insulated Panels sign an agreement to replace and rollout an entire Fabric Network and Fabric Aware wireless LAN. The project embraced 18 sites, across 10 countries, with a 3 year rollout program, planned and delivered by C>Ways.
Premier League football club Hull City goes resilient. C>Ways wins its first Premier League club contract to design, develop and build an Extreme Fabric solution for Hull City, to provide them network performance, reliability and resilience.
Glamorgan Cricket Club on the world stage. England beat Australia in an Ashes Test Match at Glamorgan Cricket Club, with the world’s media watching and relying on a resilient network infrastructure designed by C>Ways.
The relationship with Leeds Beckett University (LBU) progressed to a more significant and momentous level, with C>Ways winning the opportunity to develop and implement a critical high-profile solution providing LBU with a 100,000 device wireless local area network (WLAN) and a storage virtualisation project with full business continuity.
EVO Group, a high-profile UK based business supplies and services organisation, is a new customer to C>Ways and new to fabric networking technology. EVO embarked upon a significant 28 site network replacement project.
Hull College and Bishop Burton College both choose C>Ways to take responsibility and execute a significant IT infrastructure refresh for their respective colleges. Both refreshes include full LAN and WiFi deployment.
