Spinningfields Manchester

Spinningfields recognised that if you don’t control access to your car parks, your estate is vulnerable.  They wouldn’t know what vehicles were on premise and who was behind the wheel, resulting their security team responding only when someone shows up at the door, or worse, once there is a disturbance.

Spinningfields wished to expand their current Genetec CCTV and access control system with automatic number plate recognition functionality.  The AutoVu ANPR system automatically identifies and tracks vehicles accessing their facilities. Unified with video surveillance and access control through Security Center, the AutoVu system expands the reach of the security platform to the edge of their facility.  This allows Spinningfields to secure and monitor areas previously left unprotected such as parking lots, giving a more comprehensive security approach, and in this instance allowing the cameras to read number plates; checking them against an acceptable license plate list within the Genetec software, to ensure that the access bollards only allow entry when the correct vehicles approach the estate.

– Monitor and manage access control and ALPR from a single, unified application;

– Extend access control coverage and tightly manage entry to your parking lots;

– Know which vehicles are present and notify your staff as soon as unwanted vehicles are detected;

– Verify vehicle activity against live or recorded video as well as cardholder pictures;

– Get insights from activity reports and metrics to improve your facility’s operations; and

– Trigger alarms or receive automated notifications when unknown or unwanted vehicles are detected.
